Traceful builds Taxomy — a validation engine that checks data before a system acts on it. Each data point is tested against what it should be: structure, physical plausibility, consistency across independent sources, and a learned baseline of normal behavior. Data that fails is held back before it can drive a decision. Every check is recorded in a tamper-evident log — a verifiable history of what was reported, what was flagged, and what was decided.
We don't try to verify hardware no one can inspect. We verify the data it produces — against references it can't fake.

Why We Exist
Every system trusts its data. Almost none of them check it.
A battery reports its own health. A satellite reports its own position. A drone reports what its sensors see. Every decision downstream — dispatch, navigation, targeting, trading, safety — runs on that reported data, and treats it as true.
It usually is. Until it isn't. The hardware producing it comes from supply chains the operator cannot inspect, running firmware they cannot read. When that data is wrong — through error, drift, or deliberate manipulation — nothing in the system knows. Whoever controls the data controls every decision built on it, without ever touching the systems that make them.
That gap — between the data a system reports and whether anyone verified it — is where Traceful works.

In 2026, researchers traced a series of wide-area navigation-signal disruptions over Europe to a single orbiting source — not jamming that blocked the signal, but interference that degraded the data receivers depend on, across thousands of square kilometers, for years before it was identified. The receivers never knew. They reported positions and timing as if nothing were wrong.
